    Frequently asked questions

We now have an FAQ list that we hope will help you
answer some of the more common ones.

    1. What is the warranty on your work?

    100% Satisfaction Guarantee

    • Leak Pros & More workmanship and labor are warranted for 30 days unless otherwise specified.
    • Drain line stoppages are warranted for 24 hours.
    • All materials supplied by Leak Pros & More are warranted for 30 days unless otherwise specified.
    • Customer supplied materials are not warranted.

    2. Why is my water bill so high?

All dwellings have two types of water lines, supply lines and sewer lines. Sewer lines carry waste water and have water in them only when the lines have to carry out waste. The supply lines are all pressurized to constantly supply clean water when we need it. Therefore, if there is a leak in one of the supply lines the water will continue to leak out even when not using one of the lines causing that high water bill.

Multiple process of elimination procedures are used and sometimes the leak can be found this way. For the more difficult leaks you cannot see, other methodologies are utilized with state-of-the-art industry equipment.

No leak is to big or small for Leak Pros & More! Our technicians are highly skilled and experienced and will educate you on your unique problem and work with you to find the best solution that best fits your needs.Time is of the essence, let us help you protect your home. Call us now to find out more! We work around the clock to better serve you.

    3. Why is my water pressure low?

As with anything a simple process of elimination checkpoint should be checked to see if there should be further room for evaluation.

1)Are there too many appliances running water all at once when your water pressure is low? (dishwasher, washing machine, shower, etc).

2)Next check to see if your home’s main water shutoff valve is open all the way.

If your shutoff valve is fully open and your home is not pulling water through multiple appliances and fixtures at once there may be a bigger issue.

Debris buildup, corroded lines, and polybutylene piping are some other scenarios your plumber will be able to help identify. If your home is over 40 years old we recommend having a plumber come check out your unique situation to avoid thousands of dollars and water damaged cause by old leaking pipes.

    4. What equipment do you use to detect leaks?

Whether you see waster pooling on the floor, leaking down the walls, or have a huge water bill and don’t see water signature anywhere we will find it.

Our pros are all stocked with the leading industry state-of-the-art equipment. With FLIR thermal imaging which shows us a vibrant colorful picture which basically helps us to see through your walls without having to open your walls to find the leak. To find out more on how this works check out our leak detection page.

Acoustic leak detection equipment locates leaks in pressurized supply lines using sound to detect the vibration of the water flowing through the pipes differentiating where the break in the pipe is by the amplified sound.

Moisture meters are a great follow up and documentation tool to receive a percentage of moisture content of the tested area.

Video sewer line locator uses a fiberoptic cable with high-intensity LED lights built into self-leveling sewer inspection camera for exceptional viewing to locate the sewer line breaks, or defects, and/or root intrusion that could be causing the issue you are experiencing.

Smoke testing is another methodology we employ for the sewer system using a harmless smoke to detect areas with irregularities.

    5. Why do my drains make gurgling sounds?

Gurgling sounds are gas bubbles that are coming up from your drain because there is a clog preventing air from escaping through your plumbing vent.

If the kitchen sink water is causing gurgling in the kitchen drain chances are there is a clog in your main line. If gurgling is heard in just one of the other drains in your home the clog is probably just in that drain.

If you’re experiencing foul odors from your bathroom and kitchen drains your clog is likely to be in the vent stack. This occurs when the clog at the vent prevents air and gas to escape as designed so that pungent drain perfume is gurgling the gas and air breaks the water surface right back through to your drain.

No matter the clog…or smell, Leak Pros & More is on call to provide superior service and the results you desire.
